Before you begin
An equipped catching instrument, such as the Wooden Lute.
Area notes: Songkeeper’s Grove
Start an encounter
Play your equipped instrument near a Scroom. If nothing starts, check its equipped state in the Equipment Bag. Equipment source
Timing and tuning
Click on PC or tap on mobile when the circular marker enters the highlighted wedge. In the following tuning stage, hold and move the control until the waveform smooths. Follow the prompts on your current device. Catch source
Hold the catch zone
Drag the Scroom marker to follow the moving highlighted zone. Staying inside fills the progress bar; drifting outside drains it. Continue until a named catch result appears. Catch source
Confirm or retry
Check the result names the creature you wanted. An escape ends that attempt; begin another encounter and practise the stage that failed. A clean attempt does not guarantee a particular species. Catch source
Limits of these notes
These are source-reviewed controls, not a timing simulator. No catch probability, guaranteed outcome or exact success window is claimed. Read the game’s changed prompts if this sequence differs.
