Floral Flute and Bloomcall: Elanor’s recorded quest route

Learn Bloomcall from Oswald, bloom Elanor’s garden and finish A Florist’s Lament with the recorded 1,500-Chime binding payment to unlock Floral Flute.

Source-reviewed notes. Not independently play-tested. Reports describe their recorded version; follow the current game prompts when they differ.

Before you begin

  • Unlock the Ocarina through Halden’s five-statue task.
  • Speak to Elanor when A Florist’s Lament is available; the exact minimum level and earlier account gates remain unverified.
  • Reserve the recorded 1,500 Chimes for the flute’s binding payment after the garden blooms.

What has been checked

UnoTwo’s 10 October recording shows the named quest starting, its changing objectives, the final payment choice and deduction, then the quest completion and Floral Flute unlock. Obmemis’s 11 October guide independently shows Oswald’s Bloomcall learning event and the printed song notes. These are dated player recordings with edits, not our own current-version playtest.

Get the Ocarina first

Complete The Next Step: Halden’s five statues and return to Halden for the Ocarina. The catching instrument and the Ocarina have different jobs: you need the Ocarina to perform the garden song. Oswald’s dialogue explicitly refers to the Ocarina at 05:20 in UnoTwo’s recording. Recorded dialogue

The recordings do not isolate a minimum level or every earlier account gate. A character already being level 16, 17 or 19 does not prove that level is the unlock requirement. If Elanor does not offer the task, read her current dialogue; this guide does not invent an additional creature delivery or minimum level.

Start A Florist’s Lament with Elanor

Find Elanor outside the red wooden house beside the garden and small wooden entrance steps in Songkeeper’s Grove. Her interaction label supplies the spelling used here. Speak about the garden and follow the conversation about her husband, Oswald.

At 05:00, UnoTwo’s recording displays A Florist’s Lament starting. The first tracked objective is to find and talk to Oswald. Quest acceptance and objective

Speak to Oswald and learn Bloomcall

From the garden, follow the clearing past the stone statue toward the camp benches. Oswald stands beside a chopped stump, split wood and a small lantern. The route and named interaction are also visible around 01:55–02:00 in Truffle’s later instrument guide.

Continue the conversation about Elanor and her garden. The checked dialogue proceeds from the garden problem to a story about making flowers bloom. At 00:24–00:26 of Obmemis’s recording, the named Oswald interaction is followed by the explicit Bloomcall learned screen. UnoTwo’s HUD then checks the Oswald objective and adds the garden performance. Learning event · Quest progression

You learn Bloomcall before paying for or receiving the Floral Flute. The 1,500-Chime contribution later in this route is for the flute’s binding; it is not the observed song-learning step. An instrument reward and a Known Song are separate unlocks.

Play Bloomcall in Elanor’s garden

Return to the garden by Elanor’s doorway. Equip the Ocarina and use its Known Songs list. The checked keyboard chart prints F → S → D → F, visible at 05:40 in UnoTwo’s recording and 00:33 in Obmemis’s. Follow the current on-screen prompts if your version or device differs; mobile and controller mappings have not been established here. Printed chart · Independent chart

Play beside the garden and confirm that the flowers bloom and the performance objective checks off. UnoTwo’s 05:45–05:50 sequence shows the effect and adds the return-to-Elanor objective. The bloom badge and visual effect are not the final flute reward. Garden and return objective

Return and cover the binding cost

Speak to Elanor again. She describes a reed for the flute that needs binding and quotes 1,500 Chimes for waxed thread. At 06:10, the player has insufficient funds and receives a refusal option; the quest stays open. This is why blooming the garden alone can leave the instrument missing. Insufficient-funds dialogue

With enough Chimes, return to Elanor herself. At 06:37, her dialogue displays the 1,500-Chime payment choice; at 06:38, the screen explicitly shows −1,500. The recorded action pays Elanor directly. Although her explanation mentions a binder in the village, the checked route does not include a separate binder visit or a physical thread item hand-in. Payment and deduction

Use the live quote before spending. This is a sourced quest contribution, not a direct instrument shop purchase or a guarantee of the current game price. The Chimes planner uses this documented 1,500-Chime reference; earlier account equipment costs are separate.

Finish the conversation and equip the flute

Continue Elanor’s remaining dialogue after payment. At 06:42, the game confirms A Florist’s Lament completed and Floral Flute unlocked. The named equipment card follows. Open Equipment Bag → Instruments, select the Floral Flute and equip it. Reward and equipment

The visible quest objectives name Oswald, the garden performance and the return to Elanor. They do not name a Florabella hand-in, so we do not add one as a requirement. Keep the live objective authoritative if a later version changes the route.

What remains unknown

The exact minimum level, every earlier account prerequisite and later game changes have not been isolated. The plain Floral Flute card corroborates five recorded attributes, but does not print Tune Speed; that field remains unknown rather than zero. Other instruments’ disputed prices and stats remain disputed.

Bloomcall’s use continues in Fenna’s Heart of Thorns route and the Tall Trees grave task. The flute’s 1,500-Chime binding payment is separate from Fenna’s independently recorded 5,000-Chime Lyre offering. Neither payment establishes Savage’s task prerequisites.
