Songtreads: level 25, Shax’s race and the reward

Follow Tamer in Training and A Leg Up, complete Shax’s race and check that the Songtreads reward was received.

Before you begin

  • Unlock the Ocarina through The Next Step.
  • Reach the level 25 objective before returning to Halden.

Area notes: Songkeeper’s Grove

Finish Tamer in Training

With the Ocarina unlocked, follow Halden’s Tamer in Training objective. Reach level 25, then speak to Halden again; reaching the number alone does not complete the return dialogue. Quest Log report · Progression overview

Find Shax through A Leg Up

Follow the objective to Songwalker Shax in the Grove. The race report places him on a grassy shelf by a small fire and crate. Speak to him and choose the track teleport. Check that A Leg Up completes and Quick on Your Feet starts. Race report

Run the course

Talk to Shax at the start and begin the race. On PC, move forward and jump the gaps through the wooden platforms, bridge, chair platforms and final pier. A fall can end the attempt; return to the start to retry. Follow the on-screen controls on other devices. This guide promises no winning time. Race report

Collect and confirm

After winning, talk to Shax again. Check for the Songtreads unlock and ownership in the Core tab, then use his return option to leave. The reported next objective is Beyond the Grove. Race report

Ownership is not activation

Activate the boot item from the backpack before travelling. Movement-control reports disagree about airborne jumps; read the cavern entrance guide before attempting the crossing. Activation report
